Read Along Wednesday: Emma, Chapters 16-18

Emma's first errorWe have come to the end of volume one.  The plot involving Mr. Elton has been built, come to a climax, and is somewhat resolved.  We see in chapter 16 that Emma has learned a few things along the way, but, judging from her introspection in this chapter and her actions/words in the following one, she has not learned all that is needed. More lessons will be needed, and Miss Austen has a fine cast of characters lined up to help our heroine learn them.
