AUSTEN AUTHORS GENERAL CONTEST RULES

1. Austen Authors giveaways include exciting monthly prizes, author book release celebrations, surprise author gifts with regular blog post, and occasional special events. Periodically we may host guests who will donate their novel. We also might surprise with a challenge contest or quiz.

2. In every instance, prizes for Austen Authors blog giveaways will be listed on this page with specific details as to the item’s title, content, or type. In every case, the single gift or specified “set” will be awarded to one person. Giveaways will also be announced on the main blog page on the first day of the month, with full details given and images of the prizes.

3. Donations by US & Canada authors are for US & Canada residents only, unless specified otherwise. Donations by UK authors are for UK/Europe/ROW residents. Shipping method is up to each author’s discretion.

4. Monthly giveaways will be managed by RAFFLECOPTER. *See specific instructions below. Detailed “Terms and Conditions” for Austen Authors giveaways can be read on the Rafflecopter form.

5. Author Book Release giveaways are managed by the celebrating author. He/She will manage his/her own contest as he/she decides with specified deadlines and giveaway requirements that may vary from these General Contest Rules. Same for any guest authors who host a giveaway.

6. Quizzes or Challenge Contest that rely on correct answers will have separate rules for winning. Those rules will be clarified in the instructions of the post, including the deadline.

6. Deadline dates will be noted for every giveaway. Monthly giveaways are always from 12:00AM on the first day to 11:59PM on the last day of the designated month. Note: Our blog has chosen EST for our time stamp.

7. In order to spread the goodness to more people, no visitor can win more than one prize per month.

8. Winners will be announced on the blog in a post 2-3 days after the ending deadline. Winners will also be announced on this page.  Winners will be sent an email from contests@austenauthors.com informing them of their selection. Winners have 72 hours (3 days) to reply to the email with mailing information. After 72 hours a new winner will be chosen.

ENTERING GIVEAWAYS

1.  Austen Authors uses Rafflecopter to tabulate and select all entrants for the monthly contests. Rafflecopter is a program that logs all entrants and each of the options done, and also selects the winners using RANDOM.ORG  Personal information is not shown publicly and email addresses are not shared with anyone.

2.  The Rafflecopter form is found on the Giveaway Page (this page) at the top. To be entered into the monthly giveaway the form MUST be used! Instructions for each option are noted on the form.

3.  Commenting on a blog at least once during the month is mandatory. Additional comments are appreciated and will earn additional points.

4.  “Points” are given for various options: Commenting on a blog post, Tweeting, sharing on Facebook or a personal blog, following Austen Authors on Twitter or our Facebook Group Page, etc. Each “point” increases the odds of winning by entering your name more often.

5.  Every time a “point” option is done, click the green “ENTER” button so that Rafflecopter will log it. Each option can be done once per day. Return the next day to enter again!

6. If Rafflecopter malfunctions at any time or proves unworthy for any reason we will revert to counting comments and entering names manually onto RANDOM.ORG for selecting winners.
