Day 2 Bit-o-Fluff
Austen is all over Facebook. Somehow her fictional characters have crossed over the space/time continuum and all of them have their own pages! Twitter too! A simple search will find everyone from Mr. Darcy to Mary Crawford to Elinor Tilney, and they are an extremely friendly lot, so if you are new to Facebook you could easily have 50 or more “friends” right off the bat! With so many characters posting, the updates are endless. The P&P crowd alone will keep you busy reading. Here is a snippet of recent wall posts, the full list at Austenbook and much easier to read.

I love this! It is a concise and contemporarily relevant method of introducing P&P to new readers
This was delightful, Sharon.
I think some people have WAY too much free time
but I am glad they do because these bits are always a fun read.
I love it when people take the time to make fb do something cool like this, haha…It’s so fun and quirky – a good introduction for people who maybe aren’t familiar, but also just something different for those of us who love it
Well, I read this sometime back when it was posted all over on Austen-related blogs. It’s quick and easy to read as a diversion when you are down.
I love silly things like this! Thank you for the happy diversion – it’s dull as a butter knife here in CT today. Thank goodness there’s a celebration going on at AuAu!
I’ve seen this before and it STILL cracks me up! Love it!
oh how i love these!! and now its for Pride and Prejudice
thanks for sharing this!
This is cute! I don’t have a fb but maybe I will sign up and befriend Colonel Fitzwilliam!
I have seen this before. It is a wonderful thing. I think I am friends with Elizabeth Bennett!
How classic! Love the simple fun of it. Love also that JA’s writings can even stand up to the highly abbreviated techno world we are increasingly subjected to!!!
I have seen this before also.
It’s really entertaining.
I have seen this before as well. Never gets old! Love it!
This is great! Thank you for sharing!
